Help us kick off the Great American Clean Up in 2023 with this Davis Islands beach clean up! Those with kayaks welcome to join!!

About the event
The Great American Cleanup® is the nation’s largest community improvement program, which takes place annually with an estimated 15,000 community events nationwide. The Great American Cleanup® unifies and beautifies communities across the country in a grassroots spring-cleaning movement.
This year we will be hosting our kick off on March 25th, and plan to host a clean up at Davis Islands around the boat ramp, beach and dog park.
We will have an opportunity for volunteers to join us on land, or in the water if you have a kayak to bring. Water vessels must be limited to kayaks, which will be led out on the water by one of our site captains.
THOSE ON LAND PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE BOAT RAMP MAY GET BUSY AS THIS IS A SATURDAY EVENT. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS OF THOSE USING THE RAMP!
KAYAKS WILL LAUNCH FROM THE SMALLER BOAT RAMP - ON THE RIGHT NEAR THE AIRPORT - NOT THE MAIN BOAT RAMP. (SEE PICTURE BELOW MARKED WITH A K AND CIRCLED IN RED)
DUE TO BOAT TRAFFIC, WE WILL BE LIMITING WATER VESSELS TO KAYAKS ONLY AND LAUNCH INTO THE SEAPLANE BASIN SIDE OF THE WATER.
VOLUNTEERS MUST WEAR CLOSE TOED SHOES
