Cameron Christian

After completing a fall internship with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful, Cameron was appointed Tree Coordinator in early 2025. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science at the University of South Florida, he is dedicated to restoring Tampa’s urban canopy, much of which has been lost to recurring hurricanes in the region.

As a Tampa Bay native, Cameron has witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of hurricanes on the local landscape and tree cover. His background includes various roles focused on tree care and environmental stewardship, giving him a strong foundation in both Florida-Friendly and native tree species. This knowledge enables him to support the revitalization of local ecosystems and promote biodiversity in communities across the area.

Driven by a lifelong passion for plants and wildlife, Cameron is committed to helping neighborhoods rebuild their green spaces for a more sustainable future. In his full-time role as Tree Coordinator, he leads initiatives such as tree giveaways, community planting events, and the "Plant Your Heart Out" program. With a deep sense of purpose and a strong commitment to environmental resilience, Cameron is working to beautify and strengthen Tampa Bay’s natural environment—one tree at a time.
