About the event
Trees provide us with many ecosystem services, such as oxygen production, heat reduction and providing habitats for wildlife, to name a few. Help us give back to the community by planting 70 new trees to enjoy at MacFarlane Park in Tampa.
The event will run from 8:00 am to 11:00 am and all necessary planting supplies will be given on site during sign in!
VOLUNTEERS MUST WEAR CLOSE TOED SHOES!!
Dress to stay comfortable and get messy.
Maintenance may include tree lifting, digging, mulching, etc. We ask that volunteers are 18+ due to safety concerns.
Suggested Items to Bring:
Sun Screen
Sunglasses
Sun Hat
Reusable Water Bottle
We will provide soft gloves on site, but some may prefer to bring their own gardening gloves.
We will have a certified Arborist on site the day of the planting to give a proper demonstration, so all planting instructions will be given on site and no experience is necessary!
